Signatures and stamps

Chamber signatures and stamps on your documents

Upload a photo or scan of a signature or your chamber stamp once. LawKona removes the paper background, crops it to the ink, sizes it, and places it on the documents you generate.

The problem it solves

How most chambers do it today

To sign a letter the chamber prepared, someone prints it, finds the principal, signs or stamps it, and scans it back. The shortcut — pasting in a phone photo of a signature — leaves a grey paper background that looks unprofessional. When the principal is out of the office, documents simply wait.

What changes with LawKona

LawKona keeps a clean copy of the chamber’s signature and stamp and puts it on generated documents when you tick a box, so a finished document can go out without a printer or a scanner.

In practice

Letters going out while the principal travels. The chamber and people are illustrative; every step is how LawKona works today.

  1. Before travelling to Abuja, the principal of a Lagos chamber uploads a photo of her signature in Settings → Signatures, with the chamber stamp alongside it.

  2. LawKona removes the paper background, crops each mark to the ink, and sizes it for a page.

  3. While she is away, an associate generates three demand letters she has approved and ticks “embed chamber signature”.

  4. Each .docx comes out with a clean signature on it, ready to send — no printing, signing, or scanning.

How it works

  1. 01

    Upload the mark

In Settings → Signatures, upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP photo or scan of a signature or the chamber stamp.

  2. 02

    LawKona cleans it

The paper background is removed, the image is cropped to the ink, and it is sized for a document — a signature at roughly 4–5 cm.

  3. 03

    Embed it when you generate

Tick “embed chamber signature” when you generate. The mark goes into the .docx and onto a signature page.

  4. 04

    Replace it any time

Upload a new mark in Settings when a signature or stamp changes. New documents use the new one.

Who uses it

  • Principal or partner

Their signature on approved documents without being in the office.

  • Associate or paralegal

Finished, signed documents straight from the matter, without waiting for a printer or a scanner.

  • Client

Documents that look consistent and professional every time.

Why it helps your chamber

  • Hours back every week

No more printing, signing, and scanning your own documents before they go out.

  • A clean, consistent mark

The background is removed and the mark is sized for a page, so it looks the same on every document.

  • Easy to update

When a signature or stamp changes, upload the new one and every new document uses it.

Signatures and stamps questions

Is this a third-party e-signature service?
No. It places your chamber’s own signature or stamp on documents you generate. The other party signs the usual way, or edits a shared draft by entering their name.
What if my photo has a busy background?
Use a plain white sheet and good light. LawKona removes white and near-white paper; if no ink is left after that, it asks you to try another image.
Which file types work?
PNG, JPEG, and WebP.
